About IntellectPath
Building Equitable Systems Through Relational Trust
IntellectPath Consulting partners with schools, districts, and organizations to dismantle the systemic barriers that prevent multilingual, immigrant, and refugee families from engaging as full partners in their children’s education.
Our Mission
Empowering Families to Advocate and Thrive
At IntellectPath, we empower multilingual, immigrant, and refugee families to confidently navigate school systems, advocate for their children, and engage as full partners in shaping culturally responsive and inclusive education.
“Families are not the problem to be solved — they are the partners we have been waiting for.”
Our Vision
Every Family, Every Language, Every Opportunity
We envision a future where every family regardless of language, background, or immigration status has equitable access to high-quality education, tools, and systems that affirm their identity and unlock opportunity.
Our Story
Born from Lived Experience. Built for Lasting Change.
IntellectPath was founded by educators, advocates, and parents with lived experience navigating complex systems as immigrants and first-generation Americans.
What began as small group conversations and community centers has grown into a statewide effort to ensure families are not just included but empowered in every part of their children’s educational journeys.
Our work draws on deep expertise in educational interpreting, language access law, family and community engagement, and the lived realities of the communities we serve. We offer partnerships grounded in equity, cultural responsiveness, and a genuine commitment to systemic change.
Founded
Born from kitchen-table conversations among immigrant families and educators who saw the gap between policy and practice.
Grew
Expanded from informal community sessions to structured professional development for schools and districts across Minnesota.
Today
A statewide consulting and training organization offering the Tiered Interpreting Model, Family and Community Engagement Training, and systems consulting to schools, districts, and community organizations.
Our Values
The Principles That Guide Everything We Do
Equity
We center fairness and justice in all we do.
Community
We listen to, learn from, and work with the communities we serve.
Access
We create programs that are linguistically and culturally inclusive.
Voice
We amplify family and student perspectives as a force for change.
Collaboration
We build trust and shared solutions across schools and communities.
How We Work
Relational. Systemic. Equity-Centered.
We Lead with Relationships
Every engagement begins with listening. Every strategy is co-designed with the communities it is meant to serve. We arrive with genuine curiosity and a commitment to building trust before building programs.
We Think Systemically
We do not offer one-off workshops. We build the infrastructure, policies, and professional capacity that allow equitable practices to sustain themselves long after our engagement ends. Root causes, not symptoms.
We Center Equity
We prioritize the voices and needs of families from historically and persistently marginalized groups. Equity is not achieved by treating everyone the same it is achieved by ensuring everyone has what they need.
